If you are Israeli and you are shopping a Golden Visa because the last few years made a second door feel like common sense, you are not alone. The pain is real. The market knows it, and it will sell you speed, safety, and a European school in the same paragraph.
This page is the colder version. A residence card is a legal status. It is not a shelter-in-place plan, not a military exemption, and not a promise that another country will take your whole story at a border. Buy the legal object. Do not buy the feeling.
A Greece or Portugal card lets you live in that country under that program's rules, and travel in Schengen as a residence-permit holder from that country - 90 days in 180 in the others. It does not give you EU employment rights in Berlin. A UAE card gives you a Gulf base and 0% personal income tax locally. A Caribbean passport gives you a second nationality in months, with travel lists that can move.
Israel allows dual citizenship in the ordinary case, which is why CBI is a different conversation here than it is for Indian citizens. That does not make CBI mandatory. Many families only need a residence they can keep with little stay.
