Which Caribbean Passport? A 2026 Island Picker

Five live citizenship programs, one $200,000-ish floor, and different jobs. Dominica for a single cheque, Antigua for a family of four, Grenada for a US E-2 story, St Kitts for speed, Saint Lucia for route flexibility.

If you want a second citizenship in months, not a European residence card, you are in the right aisle. Five islands still sell it. They cost roughly the same after the 2024 regional floor. The mistake is chasing a visa-free count as if it were a permanent coupon.

The pain is a webinar that ranks "best passport" by a number that changed last quarter. The EU has said that running a citizenship-by-investment scheme is, by itself, a reason it could suspend visa-free access. ETIAS will add a form even while access lasts. Buy a nationality you can hold. Treat European travel as a benefit that can narrow.

Price your actual household on /countries/caribbean/household-fees. The headline donation is not the all-in. Due diligence, interviews, and agent fees sit on top. Russians, Belarusians and Iranians are widely excluded. Unauthorised agents are how files die.

Hidden gem: Grenada's E-2 is a US non-immigrant investor visa, not a green card and not US citizenship. People flatten that into "Grenada = America." It is a work-and-live visa with its own refusal risk. Hidden gem two: Antigua's five-day visit is the only real presence rule in the five. The others are zero. Do not pick Antigua and then act surprised.

What people on the internet are saying: 2025–2026 threads worry about EU suspension more than they used to, which is correct, and then still buy on a visa-free table, which is human. Secondary. Our citizenship cluster already says the durable value is a heritable nationality.

If you need to keep Indian or Chinese citizenship, this aisle may be the wrong shop. Read those nationality pages first.

FAQs

Which Caribbean passport is best?+

None is best. Dominica is usually the cheapest single adult donation. Antigua is often the family-of-four value. Grenada is the E-2 island. St Kitts is speed and brand. Saint Lucia is flexibility.

Will I lose EU visa-free access?+

We cannot promise you will keep it. The Commission has said CBI itself is a suspension ground. As of mid-2026 the five still travel visa-free to Schengen, with ETIAS coming. Treat that as reviewable.

Do I have to live there?+

Only Antigua has a short visit rule in the first five years. The others do not require residence to keep the citizenship.

Is this a Golden Visa?+

It is citizenship by investment. Different legal object from Portugal or Greece. We file it here because that is how people search.
